This MD session focuses on the role AI already plays and could grow into playing in the trust sector. In a very interactive session, we will explore together the opportunities and possible threats of AI in doing business, both here-and-now and in light of future developments.
It is essential to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies to optimally serve clients.

Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a new technology that will significantly change the landscape of business operations. Professionals who understand AI and embrace its potential applications have a substantial advantage over those who do not. 

Intro

This session is designed to provide HQ MDs with a thorough understanding of AI and its impact on their line of business. What must you to take into strategic consideration for your organization’s long-term success?

Context

The session will consist of three parts, each lasting appx. 1 hour, with short breaks in between.

Part 1: Introduction to AI and legal applications

1. Welcome and introduction
   - Overview of the session and introduction to its objectives
2. Introduction to Artificial Intelligence
   - What is AI? Basic principles of AI technology
3. How does AI work? A simplified explanation
   - An explanation of how AI works and the types of AI most usable for the trust sector
4. History and concrete AI applications in practice
   - Historical development of AI in trust practices and examples of how Generative AI is     currently being used

Part 2: A closer look at risks, ethics, and regulations

1. Risks of AI
   - Identification of potential dangers and issues in using AI in practice
2. Ethics and Privacy in AI
   - Discussion on ethical issues and privacy protection in AI applications
   - Gatekeepers role and contribution to the integrity of the Dutch financial system
3. Regulation of AI and relevant themes
   - Key aspects of AI regulation, including safety, privacy, intellectual property,      disinformation, and liability
4. AI and the future of work
   - The impact of AI on work processes and jobs in the trust sector
   - Impact on business models

Part 3: Practical Implementation and Exploration

1. Applying AI in practice
   - Demonstrating practical AI tools and techniques such as 'prompt engineering’
   - Experiencing how prompt engineering works
2. Exploring application areas and opportunities in the trust business
   - Exploration of possible new projects and innovations with AI
3. Closing discussion and feedback
   - Feedback of participants on future steps and interests

About Raúl
Mr. Raúl Maduro studied tax law in Rotterdam and began his career at KPMG Meijburg, after which he transitioned to developing tax-legal software products. Raúl worked for  organizations such as SDU, where he was involved in the further development of tax return software and the tax database 'NDFR: Nederlandse Documentatie Fiscaal Recht.' And was responsible for product development of the tax software portfolio at Wolters Kluwer Nederland.

Currently, Raúl is the director of LEXGEN, a legal platform that uses generative artificial intelligence. Raúl is committed to transforming professional services industries such as the trust, legal, tax, and accountancy sectors with AI solutions that automate and optimize processes.
