Basic Training Trust Officer
Professionals working at a trust office have a great responsibility as they execute the trust office's role as gatekeeper and contribute to preventing and combatting aggressive taxation, money laundering and terrorist financing and other forms of structures that undermine the integrity of asset movement.
This requires new employees to enroll in the Basic Trust Officer Training (BOTO) to get acquainted with all disciplines, including legal, tax, accounting and in addition increased knowledge is expected of risk & compliance, ethics and behaviour & culture.
Who is this Masters' programme for
All people that start as client facing staff within a Trust Office, without any prior knowledge of the sector. HQ expects all new joiners in the sector to have taken the mandatory BOTO 1 exam within 2 years after their start date at one of its members.
